A significant IT outage that is severely disrupting a wide range of services has affected businesses, banks, and airlines globally. The cybersecurity company Crowdstrike has been connected to the worldwide problem impacting the Windows operating system. The business acknowledged on Friday that a faulty software update was to blame for the mayhem and stated on its website that it was aware of reports of breakdowns on Microsoft Windows. Thousands of workers were unable to access their computers as a result, and organizations ranging from healthcare to finance were also impacted.

Global IT Problem: Airlines Issue Handwritten Tickets, Sky News Stops Broadcasting

After news of the IT outage began to circulate, airlines were among the companies using social media to inform customers of flight delays. Owing to printing problems, several companies were handwriting tickets for flights that were still scheduled.

Following its own disruption earlier today, Sky News likewise stopped airing; however, the network has since resumed operations. Along with the London Stock Exchange website, the RNS news service was also affected, and “technical teams working to restore the service” prevented news from being released. Along with CBBC, major technical difficulties were also experienced by the reporters from CNEWS, TF1, and RTL throughout their broadcast. Telstra Group, Australia’s biggest telecoms company, suffered as a result of the disruptions to telecommunications services.
